Terms and Conditions Version: 9 October 2026 These terms cover your Island Car Log account and any optional Premium subscription. Please read them before creating an account or subscribing and keep a copy for your records. 1. Who provides the service Island Car Log is the trading name of the sole trader based in Guernsey who provides this service. Apartment 8, St Cecilia Court Collings Road St Peter Port GY1 1GB Guernsey Email: Islandcarlog@gmail.com Website: islandcarlogs.org You can use this email or postal address for questions, complaints and cancellation notices. 2. What the service provides Island Car Log helps you organise personal vehicle details, servicing, maintenance, fuel, expenses, documents and vehicle history. A Free account is available. Premium adds the tools and allowances described on the Premium page. AI answers, vehicle-health assessments, quote checks and value estimates are informational. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check important information against your vehicle records, official sources and a suitably qualified professional. These tools do not replace a vehicle inspection or professional mechanical, insurance, financial or legal advice. Links to official vehicle checks and forms take you to the relevant authority. Storing a document here does not submit it to DVLA, pay vehicle tax, renew insurance or confirm that a vehicle is legally roadworthy. 3. Your account and documents Give accurate account details, keep your sign-in credentials secure and contact us if you suspect someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to upload and use the documents and information you provide. Do not upload unlawful material, malware or documents you are not authorised to store. Do not attempt to access another person's account or disrupt the service. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or a security issue, and will explain the reason where we can lawfully do so. You retain ownership of your documents. You allow us to store and process them as needed to provide the features you choose. Keep your own copies of important records and download any documents you need before deleting your account. This does not reduce our obligation to provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Read our Privacy & Cookies Policy (https://islandcarlogs.org/privacy) for information about personal data, browser storage and statistics choices. Contact us at the address above with a privacy enquiry or to exercise your data protection rights. 4. Price, payment and renewal Premium costs £3.99 GBP per month in total, including any applicable VAT. Island Car Log does not add a setup fee. A Free account has no subscription charge and does not automatically become a paid account. When you choose to subscribe, the first £3.99 payment is taken through the payment option shown at checkout. Premium begins once your payment and subscription are confirmed. You authorise automatic monthly payments of £3.99 until you cancel. The payment provider displays your billing details during approval. The subscription is monthly and continues until cancelled; there is no annual commitment. Review the price and account before approving payment. You can leave checkout before approval without subscribing. Your payment provider may apply its own currency-conversion charges if you pay from an account in another currency. Creating an account means you agree to these terms. Approving a Premium subscription means you also agree to the recurring billing described here. The contract is in English. You can download or print this version using the controls above and keep your payment confirmation for your records. 5. Cancelling your subscription You can cancel future renewals by signing in, opening Premium and using the cancellation control for your payment method. Confirm the cancellation and check that your account shows renewal has been cancelled. For PayPal, you can also cancel the automatic payment in your PayPal account. Cancel before your next payment is due to prevent that renewal. Once cancellation is confirmed, future renewals stop and you keep Premium access until the end of the period already paid for. Cancelling renewal does not by itself request a refund of an earlier payment. If the cancellation control is unavailable or you need help, contact Islandcarlog@gmail.com with your account email and request. Do not send your password or full payment-card details. Cancel your subscription before deleting your account; do not rely on account deletion alone to stop payments. Your statutory cancellation and refund rights still apply, including the UK rights explained below. 6. UK consumer cancellation rights If you are a UK consumer subscribing online, you normally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after entering into your initial subscription contract, without giving a reason. This is separate from stopping future monthly renewals. Starting to use the service does not automatically waive your statutory cancellation rights. To exercise this right, send a clear cancellation statement to our email or postal address in section 1 before the cancellation period ends. Include your account email so we can identify the subscription. You may use the form below, but you do not have to. We will make any refund required by law; these terms do not impose a cancellation penalty or limit your statutory rights. Optional cancellation form To: Island Car Log, Apartment 8, St Cecilia Court, Collings Road, St Peter Port, GY1 1GB, Guernsey; Islandcarlog@gmail.com I wish to cancel my contract for the Island Car Log Premium service. Subscription ordered on: ____________________ Account email: ____________________ Customer name: ____________________ Customer address: ____________________ Date: ____________________ Signature (only if sending on paper): ____________________ 7. Service availability and changes We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Maintenance, outages and updates may sometimes affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice of planned material changes where possible. We will tell you about a change to your subscription price or a material change to these terms before it applies to a future renewal, so that you have an opportunity to cancel. Changes do not remove rights you already have or retrospectively alter a period you have paid for. 8. Your rights and complaints Contact us using section 1 if the service does not work as described or you have a complaint. Explain the issue and give your account email. We will investigate and discuss the remedy available to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, or removes your statutory consumer rights, including rights to a remedy for a service that does not meet legal requirements. Guernsey law applies to these terms, subject to the mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. If you are a UK consumer, these terms do not remove the protections of UK consumer law or any right you have to bring proceedings in your local courts.
